Is there a doctor in Lindos?
Yes. There is a doctor at the new building at the top of Lindos near the Amphitheatre Club. The former doctor's office next to the church has closed.

Is there a chemist?
Yes. The Pharmacy is open daily between 9.00 a.m. and 11.00 p.m. (early closing Sunday at 3.00 p.m.).

Can we drink the water?
Yes. The water in your accommodation is from underground springs and is safe.
The water in the main square is not.

Can I put toilet paper down the loo?
No. You musn't put any paper or other products down the loo.
You must use the bins provided in the bathrooms.

How much is a taxi between Lindos & Rhodes Town?
Taxi fares are regulated on Rhodes and you should find a board with destinations and fixed prices at the taxi ranks. Unfortunately the prices have gone sky high this year. The fare between the airport and Lindos is 65 Euros (about £55) and is even higher later at night.

How much is car hire?
A comfortable, small, four-seater (with air-con) currently costs about 30 Euros a day (around £25). Petrol is cheaper than in the UK.

Is there a regular bus service between Lindos & Rhodes Town?
Yes. There is a regular daytime service between Rhodes Town & Lindos. On arrival at Lindos the buses stop at a car-park above the village and a shuttle bus ferries passengers to and from the main square. There is a bus timetable next to the kiosk in the main square.

Are there standard amenities & facilities available in Lindos?
Yes. There is 1 bank (with ATM) at/near the Main Square, a Post Office
and telephones in the square and the village which take phonecards. There are several other ATMs as well.
There are plenty of supermarkets where you can buy fresh bread and groceries.
Shops are generally open from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. (7.00 p.m. Sundays). The is a laundry at 381 Lindos - best to ask Supermarket Ena to call to check someone is there.

Will I be able to watch the big game in Lindos?
Usually. Yes. A number of bars have "big screens" and will advertise special sporting events on boards outside.
